Celebrating 100 days at School! Teaching place value

We have been at school for 100 days! Our Māhuri team (New Entrants-Y1) use counting our days at school as an opportunity to teach place value over the year.

Each day they add a stick to their chart and bundle the sticks into 10’s as they go. Including lockdown days, we are well beyond 100 days now! We celebrated with a zoo trip to count 100 birds, stripes, and spots, and an olden day theme where the teachers dressed up as 100 year olds - check out the photos below!
