Check out our new foyer display! What is PB4L??!!

PB4L stands for Positive Behaviour For Learning. It is a programme run by the Ministry of Education that helps schools build a culture where positive behaviour and learning is a way of life. It's a framework that is tailored to our school’s own environment and cultural needs.

Come and check out our PB4L Mood Board in the foyer by the office, constructed by the PB4L team (Amy, Deb, Tim, Andrea and Deanne).

The Mood Board is to collect whānau and akonga (hub) voices about Island Bay School and aims to start conversations.

We have a values continuum and a learning station where students (and staff, and families!) can draw/write their thinking to answer the questions on the wall then use the drawing pins to stick up their paper. Have a go yourself!
