TENNIS CLUB OPEN WEEKEND Give tennis a shot at the Island Bay Club Love Tennis open weekend!


Island Bay Tennis Club at 1 The Parade is opening its doors on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September from 1-4pm, and serving up a fun, FREE event for people of all ages. The event is for anyone, young or old, who would like to try out - or get back into - tennis. By attending, you will have the chance to win a trip for two to the 2018 ASB Classic in Auckland in January and score yourself a FREE Hell Pizza just for coming along! Bring yourself or bring your family and find out all there is to love about tennis! We will be firing up the barbeque, and there’ll be plenty of games and giveaways. Racquets will be provided and the whole family is welcome. Any new members who sign up on the day will receive a free six weeks of rusty rackets group sessions with our resident tennis coach. WINE AND CHEESE Do you love cheese and wine? Your local Island Bay Presbyterian Church is hosting a wine and cheese evening This Saturday, from 7.30pm. 88 The Parade, only $20 per ticket. Come and taste delicious cheeses, hear live Italian music, bring a friend and test your knowledge on the cheese quiz! The church provides a great venue for lots of local extracurricular activities, from Plunket to Girl Guides to Kiddiccino playgroup, and we need to raise funds for our insurance to keep this great community space going! MARANUI SURF LIFESAVING OPEN DAY


Maranui Junior Surf season starts on SUNDAY 4th November 2018. Summer is approaching, so now is the time to register with Maranui Surf Life Saving Club. Junior Surf is a great way for children to make friends, be active and enjoy the beach in a safe environment. Come along to our Registration and Club Open Day on Sunday 23 September, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. See what’s happening at the club this season, meet coaches, lifeguards and athletes, have a look around the surf clubhouse, register and become a member, information on the junior surf, seniors and becoming a lifeguard.We look forward to seeing you all.
