Deb's Message - 21 August 2020

This week's highlight:

There are many great things that come out of our Freedom Friday programme, which is in the third week of this cycle.

I'd like to share a video with you of Georgie (Y2) and Billie (Y3) explaining their Inchworm robot which they created at Make Club this week. Watch their video here

Freedom Friday not only gives our children an opportunity to try all sorts of different activities, but also let's them work with children outside their usual class/hub setting.

Last week our school's student management system was upgraded to Hero by Linc-ed. Over the coming weeks, we will continue to support you in navigating this new tool that shows your child's learning progress. We hope to help you troubleshoot any access difficulties that you may be having and have some FAQs to share in this newsletter.

Regarding COVID-19 and alert levels, we will update you on our procedures and practices as soon as possible once the levels are confirmed next week. Thank you to all parents who are continuing to keep their children at home if they are sick.

Finally, there are several postponements to be aware of due to restrictions and uncertainty around the COVID situation at the moment, and we thank you for your patience and understanding. See these here. Have a great weekend and stay safe,

Nga mihi
