Kids' Fun Afternoon, Plant Sale & Online Silent Auction - all the info!

One of our biggest events to be affected by alert levels is our school fair. As you know, we had been planning to hold the fair in early November, but after consulting with the Ministry of Education, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the fair. This means that the food, books, clothing & jewellery sales unfortunately will not proceed at this stage.

However all is not lost! In lieu of the fair we have some exciting alternatives lined up!

Kids' Fun Afternoon - Fri 5 Nov 12-3pm

A funfair style afternoon of games, sweets, kids' craft making stall and a toy stall! Tokens (in lots of 10, 15 and 20) are available on KINDO for $5, $10, $15 and $20 or if you haven't ordered them already, pop into the office on Friday morning with cash.

It's probably a good idea for kids to bring a spare container/bag for their purchases.

All activities, items for sale etc will cost between 1 & 3 tokens. Tokens will be given out to kids by the school office on Friday morning.

Note that any leftover tokens can be used at our Plant Sale - see below! Unsold baking and sweets will also be sold at the Plant Sale.

Plant Sale - 6 Nov, 11am to 2pm, 186 Derwent St

This is your opportunity to buy some great plants before summer hits! Come and buy seedlings of vegetables, tomatoes and flowering annuals.

We are also lucky enough to have a small number of Island Bay Italian Heirloom Tomato seedlings -

don't miss out!

Online Silent Auction - online from 10am, Saturday 6 Nov to 4pm, Sunday 7 Nov

With over 120 amazing lots, worth over $18,000 RRP, there will be something for everyone! A Laserforce deal, a Fortune Favour brewery package, hotel accommodation or a hand-poked tattoo - so many options on offer.

Buy something special for your loved one this Christmas, or keep it for yourself! We will send out a link to the auction on Saturday 6 November, and you'll have from 10am on 6 Nov until 4pm on Sunday 7 November to bid.

In the meantime, keep an eye on the school's Facebook page where we are showing off many of the lots on offer.

Funds raised from the 2021 silent auction are being used to develop two great new interactive spaces at the school - one in front of the entrance and another by our art block. The art block changes are especially cool (water play, bridges, stones, and sand!) and will transform an under-used area into a coastal rock garden that the kids are going to love.
