School Structure 2022

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

How the school is organised each year is an important decision made annually based on a larger number of factors including the number of children in each year group, our mix of teachers, and the physical space we have to work in.

We know that this is of particular interest to all our families and for some can be a challenging topic.

Thanks to those of you who came to our zoom session, it was good to talk through how this process works and reassure you that a great deal of time, thought and staff consultation goes into these decisions.

Considerations in the 2022 Structure

  • Catering for significant/diverse learning needs in senior school

  • Building Tuakana/Teina relationships across the school

  • Collaborations -successful design of learning/spaces fit for purpose/teacher efficacy

  • The layout of our school

  • Access to more learning spaces ( roll smaller than usual)

  • Child's friendships and relationships with peers

  • Child's relationships with teachers, building on relationships with teacher

  • Friendships

  • Relationships with teachers

  • Challenge in learning
