Wellington South Community Anzac Service 2022

The Wellington South Community Anzac Service will be at 1pm Monday 25 April at Island Bay School by the bell tower.

It’s a lovely service with the Last Post played on a bugle, the tolling of the bell, and laying of wreaths under the bell tower by various community groups.

All are welcome to come along.

People are invited to meet on the grass at St Hilda's Anglican Church (311 The Parade) at 12.30pm and we will parade down the footpath to Island Bay School with a loner piper leading us at 12.45pm for a 1pm Service start. Unfortunately we can't parade on the road due to the cost of road closures. The event would finish around 1.45pm. Note - the Pukeahu event is usually earlier in the day, at dawn and then 11am, and the Ataurk event is later, usually 2.30pm.
