Facilitated Whānau Family Connection evening - 8 April, 6.30 - 7.30pm in the Learning Hub

Updated: Mar 26

Our Whānau family connection evening is a time for all families within our school community to gather over a meal, to get to know each other better and to learn and practise te reo and tikanga (mihi, pepeha, karakia, waiata etc). No prior knowledge is required, just enthusiasm!

Facilitated by Melissa Young and Claire O'Fee from the University of Waikato, the aim is to create a dialogue and discussion around what is important to Whānau.

We may discuss your pepe (child)’s aspirations, goals and current learning interests.

Our purpose is through whakawhanaungatanga, to build community and honour people where they are, for who they are and for what they are. So bring along a plate and your whānau, we look forward to seeing you there.
